Men’s Soccer Hosts Ohio State

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – The West Virginia University men’s soccer team will begin the 2013 season tomorrow, Aug. 18, with an exhibition match against Ohio State. Kick off is scheduled for 3 p.m. at Dick Dlesk Soccer Stadium and admission is free and open to the public.
West Virginia returns 14 letterwinners from the 2012 team that went 9-6-2 overall (4-2-1 conference) in its first season of Mid-American Conference play. Sophomore Majed Osman scored three goals with four assists for 10 points last season, tops among returners.
Ohio State went 6-10-3 overall in 2012 and is led by Kenny Cunningham, who finished with three goals and one assist last year.
WVU is 10-6-4 all-time against the Buckeyes and last played to a 0-0 double-overtime draw in 2009.
The Mountaineers will conclude their 2013 exhibition schedule on Friday, Aug. 23, at Villanova at 4 p.m.
