Brault Named Second Team All-American

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – West Virginia University senior runner Sarah-Anne Brault has been named to the 2013 Capital One Academic All-America Women’s Track and Cross Country Second Team, as selected by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) on Thursday.
This is the second time in her career that Brault has been named to the Academic All-America Second Team. Brault placed 10th in the 10,000-meter run at the 2011 NCAA Outdoor Track & Field Championships and went on to be named to the 2011 Capital One Academic All-America Second Team.
The Winnipeg, Manitoba, native is a four-time letterwinner in cross country and track and field and also qualified for the NCAA cross country championship all four years. She is a three-time All-Mid Atlantic Region honoree in cross country and was named all-conference the past two seasons. Brault was first alternate in the triathlon for Canada at the 2012 London Summer Olympic Games.
Brault graduated with a 3.93 GPA and received a degree in economics in 2012 and finance in 2013. Brault finished her career as a Mountaineer in May with a 28th-place finish in the 10,000-meter run at the 2013 NCAA East Preliminary.
Since the Academic All-America program’s inception in 1952, CoSIDA has bestowed Academic All-America honors on more than 18,000 student-athletes in Divisions I, II, III and NAIA, covering all NCAA championship sports.
