MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – The West Virginia women’s soccer team continues it spring season by playing host to Maryland on Saturday, April 20, at Dick Dlesk Soccer Stadium. Kickoff is set for 1:30 p.m. and admission is free.
“Each week we are trying to get better, and Saturday gives us another opportunity to do just that,” says coach Nikki Izzo-Brown. “It’s important to play quality teams like Maryland so we can see where we stand individually, and collectively as a team.”
Maryland boasts a 3-0 mark this spring following its win over AFC Torino – the 2012 WPSL Eastern Conference South Champions. The Terps have yet to give up a goal this spring.
Tomorrow’s match is the fifth of the spring exhibition season for WVU. The Mountaineers last played a week ago, facing Pitt, Ohio State and St. Francis (Pa.).
