MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – The West Virginia University football coaching staff has named its award winners for outstanding performance in the Mountaineers’ 69-34 win against Marshall on Saturday, Sept. 1.
Offensive Champion – Shawne Alston; Defensive Champion – Isaiah Bruce; Special Teams Champion – Ryan Nehlen; Offensive Scout Champion – Anthony Gutta; Defensive Scout Champion – Nana Twum Agyire.
West Virginia (1-0) has this week off, before travelling to Landover, Md., to host James Madison on Sept. 15 at 4:30 p.m., in a non-conference game at FedExField, home of the Washington Redskins. The game will be televised live on Root Sports.
