West Virginia battles ACC foe Maryland on Saturday, Sept. 22, at Milan Puskar Stadium in a game that will kickoff at noon and will be televised nationally on FX.
The Game
No. 8 Associated Press Poll/No. 7 USA Today Coaches Poll West Virginia (2-0) faces Maryland (2-1) in a non-conference game on Saturday, Sept. 22, at Milan Puskar Stadium (60,000), in Morgantown, W.Va., at noon. The game will be televised live on FX.
This marks the 49th meeting between the two schools and tje second between the two coaches.
WVU leads the series, 25-21-2, including winning the last six straight. Maryland head coach Randy Edsall was the Connecticut head coach for 13 years, before taking over the head job at Maryland in 2011. He has coached against the Mountaineers eight times and has a 1-7 record, with his lone win being a 16-13 overtime victory in East Hartford in 2010. Holgorsen is 1-0 against Maryland and Edsall after winning last
year’s meeting, 37-31.
