Soccer America Ranks WVU No. 23

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – The West Virginia women’s soccer team received its second ranking of the 2012 season today. The Mountaineers are ranked No. 23 in Soccer America’s preseason poll.
Soccer America's Top 25 rankings will appear each Monday during the regular season.
Last week, West Virginia earned a No. 20 ranking in the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) preseason poll.
WVU opens the 2012 season against La Salle on Friday, Aug. 17, at 7 p.m., in one of three matches designated as “Dollar Days” with all tickets, hot dogs, popcorn and Coca-Colas available for purchase for just one dollar each.
