Men's Soccer: Bevin Named to Watch List

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – Sophomore Andy Bevin of the West Virginia University men’s soccer squad has been named to the TopDrawerSoccer.com “Ten Sophomore Players to Watch” list, the website announced on Monday.
The forward from Napier, New Zealand, had a breakout season as a freshman in 2011, scoring seven goals with two assists in 20 games. Bevin was named the Big East Rookie of the Year, ECAC Men’s Soccer Rookie of the Year, a CollegeSoccerNews.com first team all-freshman squad member and to the 2011 Soccer America All-Freshman team. Bevin was also named to the All-Big East Third Team and was an NSCAA All-Northeast region member.
West Virginia opens the 2012 season with the WVU Nike Classic, hosting Hartford on Aug. 25, at 7 p.m., at Dick Dlesk Soccer Stadium.
