Baseball: Boyd Earns BIG EAST Honors

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – West Virginia University freshman center fielder Bobby Boyd was awarded All-BIG EAST honors on Tuesday evening at the annual conference awards ceremony at Bright House Field in Clearwater, Fla.
A native of Silver Spring, Md., Boyd was named to the All-BIG EAST Third Team after finished the season with a .321 batting average in 53 games. Boyd scored 40 runs on 62 hits with seven doubles, one triple, two home runs and 20 RBIs. Boyd ranked fourth in the BIG EAST, stealing 23-of-26 bases.
