MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – West Virginia University is hosting its annual Gold-Blue Spring Football Game presented by Kroger on Saturday, April 21, at 6 p.m., at Mountaineer Field at Milan Puskar Stadium.
The gates open at 4:30 p.m., and tickets are available for $10 each. They can be purchased at the Milan Puskar Stadium North and West gates on game day with cash or a check, and credit cards will be accepted only at the North gate. Tickets also can be purchased in advance online at WVUGAME.com, by calling 1-800-WVU-GAME or at the Mountaineer Ticket Office located in the WVU Coliseum. WVU students will be admitted free with a valid ID.
Fans are encouraged to purchase their tickets online and select the print-at-home option so they can avoid long lines at the stadium on game day.
There will be no stadium re-entry passes issued for the game. Stadium seating, restrooms and concessions will be open on the west upper and lower side only. Beer sales will conclude at the beginning of the second half.
The following east side parking lots are available for parking for this year’s Gold-Blue Game and will open at 7 a.m. on Saturday: F1, F2, F3, F4, D and E. The following hospital parking lots on the west side are available and also will open at 7 a.m.: A, A2, M2, K1, K2, K3 and L.
The center and west lots of the large Blue hospital parking areas (hospital parking lots C1-C7 and B) are reserved for hospital parking only and will not be available.
All parking for cars and RVs is on a first-come, first-serve basis. Overnight parking is not permitted.
Fans are encouraged to attend an autograph session in the Caperton Indoor Practice Facility with current members of the football team from 1-3 p.m. and a free Taylor Made concert in the stadium lot (K4) near the Ronald McDonald House from 3:30 - 5:15 p.m. Fans are permitted to bring their own lawn chairs to the concert.
The Robinson/Petroplus Basketball Hall of Traditions in the Basketball Practice Facility (adjacent to the Coliseum) will be open to fans from 12:30 – 4:30 p.m.
In-stadium festivities are set to begin at 5:30 p.m. with the old timer’s game, featuring former Mountaineer players. The Gold-Blue Game, slated to begin at approximately 6 p.m., will conclude WVU's spring football drills. The defense will make up the blue team, while the offense will be on the gold squad.
With rain in the forecast, fans are reminded that umbrellas are not permitted inside the stadium.
Once again this year, there will not be an autograph session following the game, and fans will not be permitted on the field. Mountaineer football will conduct its annual Fan Day in August with details being released later this summer.
