Austin Named Special Teams Player of the Year

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – Senior Tavon Austin has been named the Big 12 Co-Special Teams Player of the Year, the conference announced today.
Austin completed the regular season with 28 kick returns for 738 yards for an average of 26.4 yards per return. He added one touchdown on a 100-yard return against Kansas State. He also was WVU’s leading punt returner, returning 15 punts for 165 yards (11.0 yards per return) and one touchdown.
Oklahoma State kicker/punter Quinn Sharp shared the honor with Austin.
