Women’s Basketball Up One in Poll

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – The West Virginia University women’s basketball team moved up one place to No. 24 in the Associated Press poll this week after defeating Youngstown State 90-57, Sunday.
WVU was preseason ranked No. 17 in the AP poll, reaching as high as No. 12 in week three. Last week, the Mountaineers cracked the top 25 after winning three consecutive games over Virginia, Marshall and St. Bonaventure. The Mountaineers are now riding a four-game win streak and are 7-2 overall this season.
The WVU women’s basketball team will play host to Duquesne on Thursday, Dec. 20 at the WVU Coliseum.
