Pokorny Named Diver of the Week

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – Junior Richard Pokorny of the West Virginia men’s swimming and diving team has been named the Big 12 Men’s Diver of the Week for his performances at the Miami Invitational from Nov. 29-Dec. 1.
A native of East Concord, N.Y., Pokorny placed fifth on both the 1-meter (257.75 points) and 3-meter (296.65 points) boards at the event.
This is the first time Pokorny has earned the honor and he becomes the fifth Mountaineer to earn a Big 12 weekly honor this season.
