ESPN’s College GameDay Show has picked Morgantown, W.Va., as its site for the weekend of Saturday, Sept. 24, the network announced earlier today.
It is the first time the popular traveling college football show has selected West Virginia University. The undefeated Mountaineers will take on undefeated LSU on Saturday in nationally televised prime-time telecast that will air on ABC (Brent Musburger and Kirk Herbstreit) and will kick off at 8 p.m.
West Virginia defeated Maryland 37-31 on Saturday to run its record to 3-0, while LSU topped Mississippi State 19-6 on Thursday night to also improve to 3-0.
The Tigers were ranked third in both polls last week and the Mountaineers were ranked 18th in the AP poll and 20th in the coaches’ poll.
