Men's Soccer: Schoenle Earns Multiple Honors

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – Junior Eric Schoenle of the West Virginia University men’s soccer team has been named to the College Soccer News National Team of the Week and the TopDrawerSoccer.com National Team of the Week for his performance in a 1-0 win over No. 11 Virginia last Friday evening.
Schoenle scored the game-winning goal with 23 seconds remaining in the first half on a header off a corner kick from Shadow Sebele.
Defensively, Schoenle helped preserve a shutout, allowing just three shots and none on-goal.
The Mountaineers return to action this evening in College Park, Md., when they take on Maryland at 7:00 p.m.
