Traveling to Newport

West Virginia University football players Geno Smith, Keith Tandy and Bruce Irvin traveling to Newport, R.I. for the 2011 Big East football media day taking place Tuesday morning at the Viking Hotel in Newport.

The Mountaineers begin fall practice on Friday, Aug. 5, and they open the regular season in Morgantown on Sept. 4 against Marshall in a game that will be televised nationally on ESPN.

Season tickets are still on sale through the Mountaineer Ticket Office and can be purchased by calling 1-800-WVU GAME or by logging onto WVUGAME.com.
