MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – West Virginia University men’s soccer coach Marlon LeBlanc has announced that defender Jordan Moore has been added to the 2011 men’s soccer recruiting class.
A native of Arlington, Texas, Moore comes to WVU from James W. Martin High, where he was a four-year varsity starter.
“We are pleased to add Jordan Moore to our 2011 recruiting class,” LeBlanc said. “Coach (Chad) Brown identified him as a player that has qualities needed to be a defender in the BIG EAST. Jordan is a very good one-versus-one defender with tremendous speed and athleticism.”
At James W. Martin High, Moore was a three-time first team all-district and bi-district honoree, as well as being named the 2010 Utility Player of the Year by his district and a Top 10 Player to Watch.
Moore previously played for the 2008 Solar Red Select team that made it to finals at nationals in 2008, before moving on to Solar Chelsea Developmental Academy, where he has played for three seasons.
“He plays for Kevin Smith, who is one of the best youth coaches in the country and for the SOLAR Chelsea U18 Academy team, which is one of the best youth clubs in America,” LeBlanc said. “Jordan is another fine addition to an already outstanding incoming class.”
Moore joins Andy Bevin (Napier, New Zealand), Nick Breitsameter (Frederick, Md.), Ryan Cain (Wellington, New Zealand), Pat Eavenson (Huntersville, N.C.), Paul Ehrenworth (Cranbury, N.J.), Justin Holmes (Elkhart, Ind.), Greg Judge (Raleigh, N.C.), Francis Molasoko (Courdimanche, France), Ryan Morris (Freehold, N.J.), Craig Stephens (Wellington, New Zealand) and Ryan Tauss (Niskayuna, N.Y.) as addition in this year’s recruiting class.
