Baseball: Buckner Earns BIG EAST Honor

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – For the second consecutive week, West Virginia University baseball redshirt senior shortstop Grant Buckner was named to the BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll for his performance in a series against Seton Hall last weekend.
Buckner finished the weekend 5 for 9 with three runs scored, one double, one home run and three RBIs. Buckner also had an 18 game hitting streaking going into Sunday’s game, but was unable to record a hit, ending the streak. This is the third time in his career that he has reached a hitting streak of 18 games.
