Football: Autograph Session Added to Chalk Talk

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – The Mountaineer Athletic Club and the WVU Varsity Club have announced that fans purchasing tickets to the Coaches “Chalk Talk” Round Table event are now eligible to attend an exclusive autograph session, featuring former Mountaineer greats, on Friday, April 29, from 3-4 p.m., prior to the “Chalk Talk” event at the Waterfront Place Hotel
Among the former Mountaineers expected to attend the autograph session are Fred Wyant, John Mallory, Garrett Ford, Darryl Talley, Jeff Merrow, Tom Pridemore, Major Harris, Bo Orlando, Renaldo Turnbull, Mike Fox, Anthony Becht, Aaron Beasley, John Thornton, Dan Mozes, Grant Wiley, Pat McAfee, Reggie Rembert and Owen Schmitt.
The Coaches “Chalk Talk”, presented by Charleston Law Firm, Bucci, Bailey & Javins, LC., will start at 4 p.m. It is part of this year’s Gold-Blue Spring Game festivities and will feature former Mountaineer head coaches Bobby Bowden, Jim Carlen, Frank Cignetti and Don Nehlen. These WVU greats will share stories with the audience from their respective time as Mountaineer head football coach.
Individual tickets are available for $100 per person and a table of 10 can be reserved for $1,000 per table. Proceeds from the event will benefit programs that enhance the overall experience of WVU student-athletes. Tickets for the event are available by contacting the Mountaineer Athletic Club at 1-800-433-2072.
Following the “Chalk Talk” Round Table, the Gold-Blue Old Timers’ game will kickoff the football portion of the weekend, at 7 p.m., inside Mountaineer Field at Milan Puksar Stadium. One team will be coached by Bowden and Carlen and the other team will be coached by Nehlen and Cignetti. The Gold-Blue football game will follow the conclusion of the old timers’ game.
