BUCKNER IN 200-HIT CLUB

Shortstop Grant Buckner recently passed 200 career hits during West Virginia’s three-game series at Notre Dame, currently showing 203 heading into tonight’s game against Seton Hall. Buckner needs just 14 more hits to move into 10th place on WVU’s career list currently occupied by Vince Belnome.
Tyler Kuhn is the school’s all-time hit leader with 324.
Speaking of Kuhn, he is currently tearing it up for the Double-A Birmingham Barons of the Southern League, the second baseman hitting .405 with four extra base hits in his first 12 games.
The White Sox farmhand hit .279 with Birmingham in 109 games last season.
