INTEREST IN BULGER

Two-time pro bowler Marc Bulger could be an attractive free agent candidate whenever the NFL lockout ends. Last year, the former Mountaineer signed a one-year contract with the Baltimore Ravens to back up starter Joe Flacco, and although he didn’t attempt a pass last season he did manage to get healthy.
ESPN’s John Clayton believes the Arizona Cardinals could make a run at Bulger, while the NFL Network’s Michael Lombardi says the San Francisco 49ers are also looking for a starting quarterback and Bulger could be a potential fit.
Bulger, who turned 34 earlier this month, has thrown for 22,814 yards and 122 touchdowns in eight NFL seasons with the St. Louis Rams. He was inducted into the West Virginia University Sports Hall of Fame last fall.
