Former Mountaineer forward Joe Alexander was named to the all-NBA D-League first team, as voted by the league's 16 coaches and announced earlier today.
The 6-8 forward averaged 20.2 points and 8.9 rebounds per game this season for the Texas Legends, which were eliminated in the first round of the D-League playoffs last Friday by the Tulsa 66ers.
Alexander, the eighth overall pick by the Milwaukee Bucks in the 2008 draft, scored 22 points and grabbed 10 boards in the deciding game against the 66ers.
Alexander scored more than 30 points in a game five times this season, including a career-high 38 against the Austin Toros on March 31.
Alexander played in the D-League all-star game held earlier this year.
