Volleyball: WVU to Begin Spring Season

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – The West Virginia University volleyball team is set to begin its spring season with a trip to Ohio State on Saturday, April 2.
The Mountaineers will face competition from Eastern Michigan, Wright State and Kent State in the day-long event in which teams will face-off in two games to a score of 25.
WVU takes on Wright State at 10 a.m., in its first match of the day.
West Virginia finished the regular season with 15-15 overall and 5-9 BIG EAST record, which included wins over in-state competitor Marshall and conference rival Pitt.
For the 2011 season, the Mountaineers will see four returning starters in outside hitters Kylie Armbruster and Michelle Kopecky, as well as setter Kari Post and libero Serinna Russo.
