MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – After finishing in the top three on two events at No. 12 Arkansas on March 4, freshman gymnast Hope Sloanhoffer has been named the West Virginia Student-Athlete of the Week.
The reigning East Atlantic Gymnastics League Rookie of the Week scored 9.85 and tied for first place on vault. She followed that routine with a third place, 9.8 floor performance. The Cornwall, N.Y., native also scored 9.725 on beam.
Sloanhoffer has now scored 9.8 or better in 24 of 30 career routines.
