MORGANTOWN, W.Va. - The West Virginia University tennis team will travel to South Carolina on March 22-23, to go up against SC State and SC Upstate, followed by a trip to Richmond, Va., on Friday, March 25, to face the Spiders.
The Mountaineers improved their record to 6-8 overall and 3-3 in BIG EAST action, after defeating BIG EAST foe Seton Hall last Friday in a 6-1 match at the Ridgeview Racquet Club.
“We’re looking forward to having a week off of school and going somewhere new over break,” says coach Tina Samara. “It will be good for them to experience more diversity by competing against teams that aren’t normally on the schedule.”
WVU will begin the week by traveling to Orangeburg, S.C. on Tuesday, March 22, to compete against South Carolina State at 1 p.m.
The Mountaineers will continue action on Wednesday, March 23, as they travel to Spartanburg, S.C., to face South Carolina Upstate at 2 p.m. The match will be held at the Upstate Tennis Complex.
WVU will conclude its week on the road on Friday, March 25, as it travels to Richmond, Va., to go up against the Spiders in a 2 p.m. match on the Richmond Courts.
