The Waiting is the Hardest Part

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. - Wasn’t it Tom Petty who sang the waiting is the hardest part? Well, a line of West Virginia University students forms outside the WVU Coliseum today in advance of the Big Monday matchup between fourth-ranked Pitt and 25th-ranked West Virginia.
Pitt brings a 21-2 record into the Coliseum following Saturday night’s 71-59 victory over Cincinnati at the Petersen Events Center. West Virginia is now 15-7 following Saturday afternoon’s 66-50 loss at Villanova.
The two teams split last year’s games, Pitt winning in three overtimes 98-95 in Pittsburgh and West Virginia winning 70-51 in Morgantown.
The game can be seen at 7 p.m. on ESPN and ESPN3.com.
