MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – According to the latest CollegeSwimming.com/Avidasports Performance Rankings, the West Virginia University men’s swimming and diving team ranks No. 8 in the nation, while the women come in at No. 9.
The Avidasports Performance Rankings weigh two separate metrics: performance - as measured by the relative ranking of a team's swims vis-à-vis other collegiate programs, and improvement - as compared to their previous best times.
The Mountaineers are currently the highest ranked BIG EAST squad. Last weekend, West Virginia completed the BIG EAST Championships with the men placing fourth and the women third. Rachael Burnett, Mandie Nugent and Taylor Camp were all individual BIG EAST Champions.
