Izzo-Brown To Assist U.S. Soccer

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – West Virginia women’s soccer coach Nikki Izzo-Brown has been called in to work with U.S. Soccer Youth National Teams on Dec. 11-13, in Sunrise, Fla.
Izzo-Brown will be involved in an integration meeting while coaching the U.S. Under-18 Women’s National Team under technical director April Heinrichs. She is one of 12 coaches coming together as a staff in preparation for 2012 that features U-20 qualifying for the 2012 FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup in Uzbekistan.
“I’m very excited to work with some of the best coaches across the country,” says Izzo-Brown. “U.S. soccer creates a training environment that cultivates open dialogue in an effort put our teams in the best possible situations to win games through sound coaching.”
The training camp features 26 players and is the final of the year for the U-18 squad.
Izzo-Brown has worked with USA soccer in the past, most recently last June as an assistant coach with the U-20 Women’s National Team at the Olympic Training Center in Chula Vista, Calif.
