MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – West Virginia women’s soccer players Blake Miller, Bri Rodriguez and Kate Schwindel each earned a spot in the BIG EAST Conference Top 20 rankings as determined by TopDrawerSoccer.
The soccer-dedicated website ranked 20 players from each conference following the 2011 season. Miller, a senior forward was tabbed fifth following her 10 goal, seven assist season. Rodriguez, who tore her ACL in WVU’s NCAA first round match against Virginia Tech, checked in at No. 15 after a solid 11-point junior campaign. Schwindel was listed at No. 19 following a fantastic freshman season that earned her BIG EAST Rookie of the Year honors.
West Virginia finished the 2011 season with a 17-5-0 record, 10-1-0 in BIG EAST play. The team won the program’s fifth BIG EAST division title and third conference tournament title in the last five years.
