Women's Soccer: WVU Nears Top 10

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – The West Virginia University women’s soccer team continues to climb in the national rankings, moving to No. 11 in this week’s Soccer America Top 25 and checking in at No. 12 in today’s National Soccer Coaches Association of America poll.
West Virginia is coming off a 5-0 win over Seton Hall in the BIG EAST quarterfinals last weekend. Five different Mountaineers scored, led by senior Blake Miller’s one goal, two assist afternoon. The Mountaineers have won 13 of their last 14 matches, including eight straight at home.
WVU returns to action against Georgetown on Friday, Nov. 4, at 5:30 p.m., at Dick Dlesk Soccer Stadium in the semifinals of the BIG EAST Championship. The other side of the championship bracket features Louisville and Notre Dame, who play in the first semifinal game on Friday at 3 p.m.
All three championship matches will be broadcast live on CBS Sports Network with Eric Frede and Tammy Blackburn calling the action. Ticket prices are $5 for adults (19 & older) and $3 for youth (18 & younger), and all BIG EAST students can attend for free with a valid student ID. Groups of 20 or more can purchase tickets in advance for $2 through the Mountaineer Ticket Office in the WVU Coliseum or by calling 1-800-WVU GAME.
