MORGANTOWN, W.Va. - West Virginia jumped six spots to 16th in this week’s Associated Press Top 25 football poll and four spots to 19th in the week’s USA Today poll, released earlier today.
The Mountaineers improved to 4-1 with their 55-10 victory over Bowling Green on Saturday afternoon at Milan Puskar Stadium.

Kay-Jay Harris owns the school record with 337 yards against East Carolina in 2004.
Aainst Bowling Green, now 3-2, the Mountaineers scored on eight straight possessions after falling behind 10-3 early.
West Virginia's 643 yards of total offense is the first time it has eclipsed the 600-yard mark in total yardage since posting 624 yards against Connecticut in 2007.
WVU opens Big East play this weekend against UConn in a noon game that will be televised by the Big East Network. Last year, Connecticut defeated West Virginia 16-13 in overtime in Storrs.
