Men's Soccer: Two Named to Freshmen Watch List

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. - Freshmen Julio Arjona and Brooks Nucilli of the West Virginia University men’s soccer team were named to the College Soccer News “100 Freshmen From Coast to Coast To Keep An Eye On In 2010” list.
A Germantown, Md., native, Arjona started the squad’s first two games, playing against No. 9 Monmouth on Sept. 3 and No. 17 UNC Wilmington on Sept. 5. The midfielder was a member of the U.S. U-17 National Team, an NSCAA Youth All-American and first team all-state.
Nucilli, a native of Fairmont, W.Va., has received significant playing time in the team’s first two games at the forward position. Nucilli attended Fairmont Senior High where he was the 2009 West Virginia High School AAA Player of the Year. During his high school career he netted 93 goals.
The Mountaineers will return to action in the Stihl Soccer Classic hosted by Old Dominion. The Mountaineers will play William & Mary on Sept. 10, followed by Old Dominion on Sept. 12.
