MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – West Virginia women’s soccer player Erica Henderson picked up her second weekly honor today, named a CollegeSoccer360 Primetime Performer of the Week.
Henderson, a redshirt junior defender, was outstanding in helping the Mountaineer defense post a shutout over the weekend against Virginia – the nation’s No. 2 scoring offense. She also registered two team saves while logging all 90 minutes in helping limit Virginia to six shots on-goal for the contest. The Mountaineer victory gave the Cavaliers their first loss of the season and marked the first time UVa had been held scoreless all season long.
Henderson and her teammates open BIG EAST Conference action on Thursday, Sept. 23, with an 8 p.m. match at Marquette.
