Women's Soccer: Meet Emily Dillon
September 14, 2010 11:11 AM | General
MORGANTOWN, W.Va. - Each week throughout the 2010 season, MSNsportsNET.com will get to know the six freshmen on the West Virginia women’s soccer team. Today’s edition features forward Emily Dillon.
What attracted you to play soccer at West Virginia University?
I always wanted to go east, and I loved the college town and the great amounts of support for the soccer team. I also wanted to play for one of the top programs in the country.
Who has had the biggest influence on your soccer career?
My parents who have supported and coached me since I was little and they supported me financially.
Of the teams not on your schedule, whom would you like to play most?
Definitely USC because it’s my sister’s alma mater, it is close to home, and it would serve as a rematch for the 2007 NCAA Elite Eight game.
How did you spend your summer?
Working out, going to the beach and hanging out with friends.
Tell us why Mountaineer fans should turn out to see the women’s soccer team play this year.
All of our games so far have been very exciting, and we are a very talented, hard-working team who deserves to have the stands filled at every game.
