MORGANTOWN, W.Va. - Each week throughout the 2010 season, MSNsportsNET.com will get to know the six freshmen on the West Virginia women’s soccer team. Today’s edition features midfielder Casey Vornadore.
What attracted you to play soccer at West Virginia University?
I wanted to play against the best competition to better myself as a player. I welcomed the challenge to be part of the WVU women’s soccer team.
Who has had the biggest influence on your soccer career?
My dad and all of the coaches I have had that have taught me things throughout my playing career.
Of the teams not on your schedule, whom would you like to play most?
William & Mary, my sister Krissy’s old team.
How did you spend your summer?
Working out, playing soccer, tanning and hanging out with friends.
Tell us why Mountaineer fans should turn out to see the women’s soccer team play this year.
We have a lot of talented players and everyone on this team gives their all, each time out on the field.
