Women's Basketball: Paradise Jam Tickets

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – Advance tournament passes for the 2010 Paradise Jam Tournament will go on sale Wednesday, Sept. 1. The 10th annual event will be held Nov. 23-28 at the University of the Virgin Islands in St. Thomas.
The field for Paradise Jam includes West Virginia, Iowa State, TCU, Virginia, Georgetown, Georgia Tech, Missouri and Tennessee. Tournament format comprises two divisions of four teams, with each team competing in one game per day and advancing through a bracket-tournament format.
Passes and daily game tickets can be purchased from the Paradise Jam Tournament website at www.paradisejam.com (search Tickets) or at the door of the University of the Virgin Islands Sports and Fitness Center. All seating for the tournament will be general admission. Advance passes include all-session tickets for $65. Tournament passes at the door include all-session tickets for $60.

The Paradise Jam Tournament has traditionally been a prime location for stiff early-season women’s basketball competition. Previous winners include Notre Dame and Rutgers (2009), Wisconsin and California (2008) and Connecticut and Wake Forest (2007).
The trip will mark WVU's second to the tournament under coach Mike Carey. WVU finished second in the three-game St. John division tournament in 2004, showing victories over Georgia Tech and James Madison and a loss to Southwest Missouri State.
