MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – West Virginia University is hosting its annual Gold-Blue Spring Football Game on Friday, April 30, at 7 p.m., at Mountaineer Field at Milan Puskar Stadium.
The gates open at 6 p.m., and tickets are available for $5 each. They can be purchased at the Milan Puskar Stadium gate on game day or in advance this week at the Mountaineer Ticket Office located in the WVU Coliseum. WVU students will be admitted free with a valid ID.
Proceeds from the Gold-Blue Game again will benefit WVU Children's Hospital. The Mountaineers have donated $597,032 to Children's Hospital during the past 24 years.
There will be no stadium re-entry passes issued for the game. Stadium seating, restrooms and concessions will be open on the west lower side only.
All stadium parking lots will open at 5 p.m., on Friday. The following east side lots are available for parking for this year’s Gold-Blue Game: F1, F2, D and E. The following hospital parking lots on the west side are available: A1, A2, M2, K1, K3 and L.
The center and west lots of the large Blue hospital parking areas (hospital parking lots C1-C7 and B) are reserved for hospital parking only and will not be available.
Fans are encouraged to attend the Mountaineer Fan Festival in the stadium lot (K2) adjacent to the Ronald McDonald House from 5:30 p.m. – 6:30 p.m., featuring inflatable games for kids and an autograph session with select former Mountaineer football players.
Festivities are set to begin at 7 p.m., with an old-timers game, featuring former Mountaineer players. The simulated game under the lights will conclude WVU's spring football drills. The first-team offense, defense and key reserves will make up the blue team, while the rest of the players will be on the gold squad.
Once again this year, there will not be an autograph session following the game, and fans will not be permitted on the field. Mountaineer Football will conduct its annual Fan Day in August with details being released later this summer.
