Track: WVU Completes Father Bede Hines Invite

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. - The West Virginia University track and field team completed competition today at the Saint Francis Father Bede Hines Invitational in Loretto, Pa.
Sophomore Aubrey Moskal led the team with a first-place finish in the 1,500-meter run. The Morgantown, W.Va., native crossed the line with a time of 4:48.19.
Sophomore Kelly Fortune started the day for WVU with a second-place showing in the 100-meter dash crossing the line in 12.62, while freshman Arielle Gaither placed second (59.94) in the 400-meter dash. Junior Brittany Wolford followed finishing in third (1:00.48), while junior Jordann Mitchell finished fourth (1:00.83) and sophomore Kyllie Bebout placed fifth (1:03.04).
In the field events, junior Terina Miller led with a second-place finish (45.95) in the hammer thrown and seventh-place showing (11.47) in the shot put.
Senior Brittany Fink also had a good showing today, with a third-place finish in the discus (38.72).
The Mountaineers will continue action on April 30-May 2, with the BIG EAST Outdoor Championships in Cincinnati, Ohio.
