Track: WVU Runs Well at Sun Angel Classic

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – The West Virginia University track and field team completed competition this weekend with an excellent showing at the Arizona State Sun Angel Classic in Tempe, Ariz., on Saturday evening.
Seniors Keri Bland, Karly Hamric, Kaylyn Christopher and junior Jessica O’Connell all competed in the 1,500-meter race and posted BIG EAST qualifying times.
Bland led the pack, finishing in fourth place with a time of 4:19.84, while O’Connell placed eighth (4:22.29).
Hamric and Christopher followed in 10th and 16th, crossing the line in 4:22.95 and 4:27.39, respectively.
WVU is set to return to action on Saturday, April 17, at the James Madison Invitational.
