MORGANTOWN, W.Va. (December 7, 2010) – The West Virginia University football coaching staff has named its award winners for outstanding performance in the Mountaineers’ 35-14 victory against Rutgers on Saturday, Dec. 4.
Offensive Champion – Tavon Austin, Geno Smith; Defensive Champion – Bruce Irvin; Special Teams Champion – Jeremy Kash; Offensive Scout Champion – Scott Frisina; Defensive Scout Champion – Troy Gloster.
No. 21/22 West Virginia (9-3, 5-2 BIG EAST) faces NC State (8-4, 5-3 ACC) in the 2010 Champs Sports Bowl at the Florida Citrus Bowl Stadium on Tuesday, Dec. 28 at 6:30 p.m.
Available tickets in the WVU allotment are $65 each and can be purchased on-line at WVUGame.com or by calling the Mountaineer Ticket Office at 1-800-WVU Game.
