Women's Basketball: PBS and MSN Add to TV Slate

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – The Mountaineer Sports Network and West Virginia Public Broadcasting will add to this season’s women’s basketball television schedule with the broadcast of six games on WSWP Beckley, WNPB Morgantown and WPBY Huntington/Charleston.
All home games in the month of January will be televised live on PBS, including the Chesapeake Energy Capital Classic against Marshall in Charleston. January opponents to visit the WVU Coliseum include Cincinnati, Syracuse and USF. PBS will also broadcast the Feb. 1 game against Providence and the Feb. 19 game at Pitt.
Combined with the seven nationally-televised games, the WVU women’s basketball team will have 13 games on television. MSNsportsNET.com will also stream seven additional games live online, including all home games in the months of November and December and the Jan. 2 game against Central Connecticut State.
ESPN3.com has picked up the Nov. 12 season opener against Loyola University Maryland for live streaming on the web. All 16 regular season home games will have a live broadcast online or on television and three road contests are a part of the national television schedule.
