Volleyball: Evans Earns Conference Honor

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – Senior middle blocker Lauren Evans earned a spot on the BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll for the third time this season the conference office announced today.
The Canyon Lake, Calif., native was a crucial part in the Mountaineers’ 3-2 victory over Pitt on Saturday. Evans led WVU with 14 kills on a .367 hitting clip and added four total blocks, two solo, in the win.
The win snapped a 20-year losing streak to the Panthers and gave the Mountaineers their second victory all-time over the conference foe.
On the season, Evans owns 205 kills with a team-high .314 hitting percentage and 65 blocks.
She also received the honor on Aug. 30 and Sept. 20.
