Men's Soccer: WVU Travels to South Florida

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – The West Virginia University men’s soccer team will travel to Tampa, Fla., to take on No. 22 South Florida on Saturday, Oct. 16, at 7:30 p.m. The match will be held at the USF Soccer Stadium
West Virginia (7-3-2, 3-1-0 BIG EAST) is coming off a 2-0 win over Pitt on Wednesday night. Junior Ruben Garrido and sophomore Shadow Sebele scored in the victory and WVU is now unbeaten in three-straight matches. Sophomore Peabo Doue leads West Virginia in scoring with 13 points, while Sebele has 11 points.
South Florida (7-2-3, 2-1-1 BIG EAST) last defeated DePaul on Wednesday night by a score of 1-0. Shawn Chin scored the Bulls lone goal in the 78th minute on a penalty kick. Bernardo Anor leads USF in scoring with 12 points and All-America goalkeeper Jeff Attinella has played every minute in goal for the Bulls. Attinella has recorded 42 saves and has a goals-against average of 0.55.
South Florida leads the all-time series 11-4-2, however last season the then-ranked No. 3 Bulls fell to the Mountaineers, 1-0, in Morgantown.
