MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – West Virginia University men’s swimming and diving senior Brandon Robinson has been named this week’s men’s BIG EAST Swimming and Diving Athlete of the Week for his performance in a win at Maryland on Jan. 30.
The Sicklerville, N.J., native, scored first-place finishes on both the 1-meter and 3-meter boards. Robinson took the 1-meter board with a score of 319.65 points, while he won on the 3-meter with 348.37 points.
Robinson’s 1-meter score breaks a 20-year old school record that was set by Gary Fleming in 1990 with a score of 309 points.
West Virginia is back in action on Jan. 30, in Morgantown, versus Virginia Tech and Duquesne at noon.
