As the second day of the training trip ends as does another year. We had a nice change to the normal early mornings and we all got to sleep in to a nice 10 a.m. morning swim, instead of the normal 5:30 a.m. swims. Even at 10 this morning the sun was a great change, rather then the cold and snow in Morgantown. Training, not as nice as it was last night, was a little tough but we pulled through knowing that in a few short hours we would be on the beach.
After a few hours on the beach and watching a few team members surf (or attempt), we headed back in preparation for practice number two for the day. Afternoon practice was pretty difficult whether you were in the mid-distance group doing 15x200's or in the sprint group doing a rough kick set. We all managed to make it through for the final practice of 2009.
Tonight we will be heading back to the beach to watch some fireworks and celebrate the new year before we head back to get some rest for the start of another day in Cocoa Beach.
