We have added depth in every event,” Riggs says. “Certainly, I feel that they are all athletes that can have an immediate impact for this season and for future seasons to come.”

Breanna McCann will add much needed depth in the breast and IM events, with Samantha Vavra joining McCann in those events as well.
International star Amanda Nugent will make an immediate impact on the women’s side in the freestyle, butterfly and IM events and will looks to qualify for NCAAs. Danielle Redman also adds international flare with endless potential as a backstroke swimmer.
Austin Carrington and Nikki Vetterlein round out the class by adding depth in the backstroke and butterfly events.
“With the addition of these nine women, they bring a level of talent that will help make our program competitive,” Riggs says. “They will also help us reach our goals of competing successfully at the BIG EAST and NCAA Championships.”
