Mountaineer Spirit is world wide! SPC Peter Meade of Sissonville, W.Va., raises the Flying WV in front of the Army Post Office at COB Speicher in Tikrit, Iraq.
Snapping the photo of SPC Meade raising the flag is avid Mountaineer fan Sgt. Dustin Carroll. The flag was donated to the soldiers by the WVU Sports Marketing Department.
The WVU Department of Intercollegiate Athletics would like to express its appreciation to all U.S. service men and women throughout the world as we celebrate our nation’s birthday this weekend.
