“This is an elite event and the very best will be competing,” commented Coach Sean Cleary. “We want to go further, faster and higher in progression from the BIG EAST Championships to the upcoming NCAA Regionals."
WVU will participate in a total of nine events over the weekend including the 4x400-meter relay, the 3,000 and 5,000-meter races, the steeple chase, the high jump and the pole vault.
Last season, Clara Grandt set a new meet record in the 10k race and Keri Bland won the 1,500-meter event to give WVU two individual champions. WVU finished 14th with 36 points, tying Providence.
