Ruoff in 3-Point Competition

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. - West Virginia University senior guard Alex Ruoff has been chosen to participate in the 3-point competition in the 21st annual State Farm College Basketball Slam Dunk and 3-Point Shooting Championships, which will take place on Thursday, April 2, at 7:30 p.m. at The Palace of Auburn Hills in Auburn Hills, Mich.
The event is being produced by Intersport, a Chicago-based media group, and will be televised by ESPN on a tape-delayed basis later that evening at 9 p.m.
The Spring Hill, Fla., resident is WVU’s all-time leader in 3-point field goals made with 261. Ruoff set the school record for 3-point field goals in a game with nine against Radford on Dec. 23. He scored 1,420 career points, ranking 18th in school history.
Tickets for the live event are $10 for adults and $5 for students and those under 18 years of age, and may be purchased through TicketMaster.
