WVU Plays Host to Maine

MAINE NOTES
MORGANTOWN, W.Va. -- West Virginia University's women's basketball team plays host to Maine, Saturday, Dec. 5, at noon, at the WVU Coliseum.
The Mountaineers (6-1) and Black Bears (2-3) will be meeting for the second time in a series that began in 2005 in the Postseason WNIT. WVU leads the series 1-0 after defeating Maine 74-59 in the opening round of that tournament at the WVU Coliseum.
WVU has won four games in a row, including a 64-28 win against Radford at home on Wednesday. Maine is coming off a 58-53 home win against Buffalo last Saturday.
Junior guard Liz Repella leads three in double figure scoring with her 15.1 points per game. Freshman center Asya Bussie is second on the squad with a 12.1 points per game while junior guard Sarah Miles is third with 10.1 points and first in the BIG EAST with 47 assists.
Sophomore forward Samantha Wheeler leads the Black Bears with 12.6 points per game.
