Sixth-ranked West Virginia faces Marquette tonight in a Big East game at the WVU Coliseum. The Golden Eagles bring a 9-3 record into Morgantown that includes victories over Michigan and Xavier.
West Virginia, 10-0 to start the year for just the sixth time in school history, is looking to make it 11-0 for the first time since the 1957-58 season.
The Big East Network (John Sanders and Bob Wenzel) will televise the game. Tickets still remain and can be purchased through the Mountaineer Ticket Office by calling toll-free 1-800-WVU GAME or by going online to WVUGAME.com.
Here is Tuesday night’s Countdown to Tipoff:
10 – Forward Kevin Jones is only Mountaineer player to score double figures in all TEN games this year. Jones is second on the team in scoring (15.5 ppg.) and rebounding (8.1 rpg.) this season.

4 – Huggins has lost only FOUR times when his West Virginia teams have scored at least 70 points in a game, going an impressive 49-4 since Huggins has arrived.
3 – The Mountaineers are one of only THREE schools in the Big East with a winning record in conference play the last four seasons. The other two are Pitt and Marquette.
2 – West Virginia has pulled down 103 rebounds in its last TWO games against Ole Miss and Seton Hall. The Mountaineers are out-rebounding their opponents by 8.5 rebounds per game.
